Fees & Funding
We offer services to private paying clients and NDIS participants with self-managed or plan-managed funding. If you are with a health fund, you may be able to claim a rebate depending on the service. Medicare rebates may also be available with a valid GP referral under a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP).
Therapy Sessions
We offer therapy to both private clients and NDIS participants. Session length and structure is the same across both, but the funding model and billing approach varies slightly.
Private Clients
Private sessions are billed at $210 per hour, and this includes both therapy and associated admin (e.g., session notes, planning, and communication).
1 hour (45 min session + 15 mins admin): $210
40 minutes (30 min session + 10 mins admin): $135
Home visits: Standard session rate + travel fee (based on time and distance)
NDIS Participants
We follow the standard NDIS rate of $193.99 per hour for therapy services. Any additional time spent on reports, letters, goal setting, or team communication is charged separately, in line with NDIS billing guidelines.
1 hour (45 min session + 15 mins admin): $193.99
40 minutes (30 min session + 10 mins admin): $135
Home visits: Standard session rate + travel fee (calculated based on travel time and distance in accordance with the latest NDIS pricing arrangements)
Assessments & Reports
Private Clients
Comprehensive Communication Assessment & Report: $680
(4.5 hours - includes assessment, feedback, and report)
Other progress reports and/or documentation: $210 per hour
NDIS Participants
All assessments and reports are billed at the NDIS standard rate of $193.99 per hour
1 hour (45 min session + 15 mins admin): $210 (after the Medicare rebate, the out-of-pocket expense is approximately $148.20)
40 minutes (30 min session + 10 mins admin): $135 (after the Medicare rebate, the out-of-pocket expense is approximately $73.20)
A valid GP referral is required before the first session. A brief report will be sent to your GP after the initial and final sessions, in line with Medicare requirements.
Medicare Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP)
Clients referred under a valid CDMP from their GP may be eligible to claim a Medicare rebate of $61.80 per session, for up to 5 allied health sessions per calendar year. At Forth Street Speech Pathology, our standard private fees apply:
